Electronics Industry Supply Chain and Code of Conduct Research on Tin, Tantalum, and Cobalt
RESOLVE has been commissioned by the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) and Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) Extractives Workgroup to map the supply chain for tin (solder), tantalum (capacitors and deposition targets), and cobalt (batteries and magnetic recording media) used in electronics. In investigating the supply chain, RESOLVE will also request and review purchaser and supplier codes of conduct. The process that we designed to emphasizes stakeholder engagement, particularly so that we can identify solutions to gaps and challenges in these supply chains.
